The GeoSentinel Surveillance Project of the CDC and International Society of Travel Medicine

Dr. Davidson H. Hamer, Project Lead of the GeoSentinel Global Surveillance Network and Professor of Global Health & Medicine, Boston University, gave a fascinating analysis of travel-related illnesses and outbreaks reported to the Network during 2007-2011, including Zika virus infections and acqusition of multidrug antimicrobial resistant microorganisms. His talk was presented at the Intercity Rounds of the Division of Infectious Diseases, University of British Columbia, in Vancouver on November 30, 2017.
